Jocelyn Dorangeon, slam

Jocelyn Dorangeon began to write from an early age, and is within slam since 2008.

After additional trainings in theater and clown (Babeth Fouquet, Gilles Pradier, Marie Baguet, Martine Szontagh, ...), he developed about 10 performances, alone or in collaboration with other artists from Perigord, and with territorial players as "la Ruche à Brac".

Furthermore he participated in events such as le Concours International de la Chanson Française and le Festival du Clair, with recognized musicians.

His work was rewarded by the award "Soif de Créa, Adour–Garonne" in 2012. He was too finalist at the national competition of Slam "Vive la parole libre, France–Québec" in 2016, and won the national competition of Slam organized by the Federation France–Québec Francophonie in 2019.

In paralell, he led numerous workshops in schools (high schools of Belvès, Douai, St Cyprien, primary school of Sagelat), in workplaces (Groupe Créa–Sud communication), and with vulnerable audiences (Fondation John Bost, Foyer Clairvivre).

Lastly, he developed an activity of edition of his own texts (5 booklets) et participed in salons du livre.

In his view, stage is a ground for experimentation and to achieve ths goal, he cares a close and direct link with theater and comedy. It nurtures its own expression and tends to erase the thin borders between differents arts, especially – rap – tale – poetry – slam – song. Working in pluridisciplinarity is then an integral part of his background and of his approach.
