Kamila Souza, sound creation


Born in Pernambuco (Brazil), Kamila Souza followed paths of theater, cinema, dance, music and education.


She has been developing her artistic research both from his own indigeneous culture and from the world's contemporary art.


Initially teacher (Licenciatura (equivalent Master 1 MEEF) in music, and Técnico in classical piano), she was employed for 5 years in several schools in Brazil, and was too choirmaster.


Furthermore she earned various workshops and masterclasses, in theatral performance, dramaturgy, corporal expression, instrumental and vocal practice, clown, contemporary art, and brazilian indigeneous music.


She worked as actor and musician with the theater companies Engenho de teatro, Mambembe, Magrikori; and as musician pour the music groups Allegretto (Renaissance and Medieval music, dance and choir), Txaimus (brazilian music, chimes and bells), Movimento Surrelombrista (theater and performance), Nácar (composition, texts, arrangements, keyboard and voice), and Lua nova (voice).


With her wide range of skills, she adresses composition, arrangements, world music and modern music (of which MAO), singing, acting, and teaching; with a special interest for voice and body performances, and for active musical teaching.
